MEEC 2022-2023
Theme: An Inclusive World
The Macau-wide English Essay Competition is a platform for students to showcase their thoughts, creative ideas, and written communication skills. With the theme “An Inclusive World”, we encouraged students to learn about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, challenge themselves, and make a difference in their community.
Through this inaugural event, we had over 1,000 students register schools in Macao. We were also able to publish the winning essays into an Essay Collection that was distributed and sold locally.
We want to thank everyone who were part of this event – students, teachers, supporters, judges, co-organizers, and members of the Macau Professional Speaking Association, Thank you for bringing about positive change in our beautiful home.

Online Event
Thank you for joining us on November 27 for a virtual event to learn more about the Global Goals
To inspire our community, this event featured speakers to share their thoughts on what inclusiveness means to them. Not only did we share more about the competition, participants learned more about The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, inclusiveness, and how we can build a more resilient future!

Essay Collection
Winning works were published in an essay collection at the end of the competition
The collection is available online on the website and offline in print media. By embracing the voices of student stakeholders in the society, we hope to encourage the Macao community to build a more sustainable and resilient future together.
